i'd like another starting goalie. pretty much everyone on my team is up for grabs for the right netminder.

take a look at my wingers and lets see if we can work something out.

Are you 00 is a real number? If so, I think I actually like my wingers more than yours, lol.

fair enough. my strategy was based on getting solid goalies and using a sort of mish-mash of average players to try to win a couple other categories each week.

Yeah, there are a couple of nasty goaltending tandems in our league. Yours, with Thomas and Kipper, s2s with Luongo and Quick (if Quick gets the bulk), The Tiny Pecas with Bryz and Ward (if he can hold up to Carolina hanging him out to dry) and myself with King Henrik and Howard.

I held off on taking wings longer than I had anticipated, and longer than in any of the mock drafts I had done, but I think it worked out all right for me in the end. I wanted to ensure I got solid goaltending, and they started really flying off the board after I had 1, so I didn't want to be left with anyone worse than Howard, whom I managed to nab. And when Stastny fell to the middle of the 9th round, I had to pick him up, even though I hadn't filled out my LW.

I'm not gaga over my wings, but they should be serviceable. And looking over the other rosters, I actually think they stack up all right. And I've got 3 centers that are all top 100 picks. I'm surprised Selanne wasn't rated higher, so I'm kinda banking on him being effective. A repeat would be striking gold, but even if he tapers off a bit, he's still good value, I think. My Defense is not blowing anyone away, but I'll take my offensive numbers from my forwards, thank you very much. Girardi is a good late rounder for me, with gobs of hits and blocked shots to go with a small amount of offense and a reasonable +/-.

I'll give Quick (maybe Luongo) and Kostitsyn for Sedin and Enroth.

That would be me (STP). Sorry, couldn't do the trade. I like to see how my team is doing before I start dropping them. I'm a believer ;)
I'd want a good d-man in the trade but you probably don't want to give up Yandle.

Yeah, I missed it too, but I'd set my lineup preferences, and I'm fairly happy with my team

I was debating on picking a goalie first round (since I was third) up until it was my turn but decided to pick cory perry. By time I got around to my third/fourth pick most of the really good goalies were gone. I'm ok with Halak and the other one I have (can't remember and my work computer won't let me go to the site). Like I said last night, at least their both starters unlike either of my goalies from last season

I forgot about the draft until midway through it.

If player can play different positions (example Jeff Skinner shows that he can play C and RW) does his stats count on my team even if he doesn't play that position in the actual game?

yes. he could play defense and it would still count. the positions listed are the eligible places that the player can be placed on your roster. most of the forwards on my team have multiple positions that they can play. it gives more flexibility.

This was something I didn't realize the importance of. This is my first time. I ended up dropping a D-man I drafted to pick up someone with LW-RW eligibility so I could get some more man-games.

I have two players like that, both are really good to have (Skinner and Byfuglien). They just need to get going. I took a leap of faith and picked up Luke Adams in hopes that they find a spot for him if Hecht returns

I need Cam Ward to pick it up.

My offense is strange though. I'm hoping Malkin has a monster year and Kopitar has a good year too.
