Linsanity. You know, the whole "Chink in the Armor" flap that just got an ESPN writer fired, and an on-air personality suspended 30 days. I bet you've heard of THAT bit of stupidity. Really, what were they thinking?

Incredibly stupid move by the headline writer. However I think ESPN is really overreacting in suspending the anchor if he was just reding a teleprompter, which I assume is what they do to get all their lines. I do also feel that it's entirely hypocritical to allow anyone to say that phrase about a non-Asian, but freak out if someone uses it about an Asian. It's possible there was some racist intention, but also quite possible there wasn't and it was just a (very) poor choice of words.

I used to be a HUGE Knicks fan in the 90s, until Isaiah Thomas came in and then brought in Stephon Marbury. I pretty much stopped caring about the Knicks for probably 6-7 years, but I must say, Jeremy Lin as helped rejuvenate my allegiance strength.
