Oilers and Sabres talk

As if to prove fences CAN be mended when new ownership takes the scene, there is talk today the Oilers and Sabres are discussing a MAJOR deal. Sources vary quite a bit on what is being discussed, but piecing it together it sounds like a "significant" defenseman going to Edmonton along with a solid prospect (or possibly even Enroth) for "young star top 6 center and a third line young player who many feel has top six potential." I hope to have more on this in the next day or so..

I saw this and thought it was a bit odd. I'll take it with a grain of salt, but it has been slow news-wise so this is a bit of something to talk about at least.

i notice no bloggers or talking heads are saying anything else about this so chalk it up to the usual bs i guess. when its slow over the summer i tend to have a harder time ignoring things of this nature.

so why was this thread moved to the trade area but the one about roy trade was not? just asking not complaining.

i don't think anyone is "putting stock" in what Eklund, HockeyyInsiderr or others might say. But its just fun to go over the "what ifs" and "would-or-wouldn't you" Sometimes those bloggers are right but the vast majority of the time they are just feeding BS because really only the teams know. Which is fine, when i goto those sites or twitter feeds its just for entertainment. And hell if i could make a living or even just some extra cash by making up BS about "possible" hockey moves i would do it in a minute. So i think some people get to worked up over this stuff either because they take it to seriously or they think someone else does. I like looking at my twitter feed with all the rumor guys on it. just because its fun.. and honestly until there is an actual trade.. there isn't much else to do.
