Where's the champagne from your Jeter thread?? Oh, here it is. Looks like it's the only reason you'll have to celebrate anything about baseball. Rotten shame. Maybe there's still some left over to drown your sorrows in. Detroit Tigers...meow!!

"...swept the most overrated team in baseball history..."

Besides that being obvious hyperbole (NY wasn't that highly rated to begin with), it's a little sad that your team sweeping an "overrated" team and then getting crushed themselves in the big show is champagne worthy. But I'll cut you some slack since there's no hockey to divert your attention to better things.

so, whats the yankees line up for tonight? because i hear there is baseball yet to be played, so i assumed someone whose team got swept in the ALCS wouldnt be stupid enough to try to talk trash to a team that swept the shit out of them.

I'm not talking trash to a team, I'm talking trash to a juvenile that celebrates over a player getting hurt, and celebrates as if beating the Yankees means something more than winning the World Series... the series that actually counts. Your hatred clouds your judgement grasshopper.

oh, so series leading up the world series dont count? great logic. ill take getting to the world series any day, especially sweeping the hated yankees to do so.

sad, sad showing at the big show. unfortunately, the giants and cardinals have been crazy clutch the last 5 years.

oh boy did they not. but you make your own breaks, and the giants played great. hats off. this was a surprise run, and beating the vaunted yankees in 4 games made it a success. make no mistake, however. the tigers were a bad team this year outside a few players, and work has to be done. i look for the tigers to be even better, with v-mart coming back, and fielder playing his second year in the AL. next year should be alot more fun in the regular season, and hopefully that elusive world series title finally comes.
