Wow, lose one to injury and then trade another for a pick? I guess the Sabres really are putting up the white flag.

I get the feeling this is Terry giving Darcy enough rope to hang himself.
I expect more movement.

Yeah, this move doesn't seem to make sense in a vacuum. I wonder what else is about to happen.

Not like this is any sort of loss. we have a plethora of D-men and his skating sucked, it was not NHL caliber. Only thing good about the guy was his shot.

I wanted him gone since his first game this year. Rather have Pardy actually playing D over Brennan.

I've heard some NHL scouts think that TJ has the best shot of any player on the back end in the league. I've also heard they bemoan his skating and his defensive positioning.

I could be an NHL scout then.

I don't see why they would do this trade but then again I really don't care all that much lol

I don't think you can say it's a bad deal even if Brennan does well in Florida as it didn't appear that it was gonna happen here.

IMO, it's what that 5th round pick turns into, or if you can use it in a package to trade up to get a player that turns out to be a good player that's important now.

Not that I've sat down and analyzed the kid, but it seems like the Sabres have a few players who are skaters you love for a few games and them you either don't notice or really don't like their game.

For example, Gerbe. He'll score two goals, be in the think of things...and then you won't hear from him. Maybe this team needs an exorcism to remove the ghost of Ales Kotalik who seems to possess our players....great for a week, bad for 3-4.

I don't get this trade. A 5th round pick is very unlikely to be a NHL player.
Brennan could have been a decent 7th d-men.

Darcy is really fucking up lately. The Brennan deal isn't a good one and the Grigorenko decision was just a desaster.

The Grigorenko thing was most likely Rolston saying he isn't ready to be in the NHL and would do better back in Juniors. It was stupid to do, but oh well. He'll be in Rochester when or if Quebec gets eliminated.

The Brennan deal, who gives a fuck, we have so many Defensemen that are better at D than he ever will be, he honestly should never have been on the Sabres this year.

He. Played. Twenty. One. N.H.L.Games.

and, everyone fucks up, and had bad games, so saying you wanted him gone since his first game is pretty fucking moronic, but coming form you, that's no suprise at all.

He's also only 24, with the promise that yes, he HAS shown, should have kept him instead of the older guys we have. Younger D is the key, especially when our entire defense is awful this year.

Not to mention, he played with that fuckwad Mike Weber, which couldnt have helped, at all.

brennan played almost 24 mins in his debut... plus a +1 rating, 3 hits and 1 goal. not bad.

Hearing Pysyk could be announced as a call-up today. Just a heads up.

I've really liked Pysyk's game in Rochester.
