I don't think our core has done bad. I think Darcy wants to improve the core. He said he wants more big players. A big player could be a decent second liner Ennis could play with.
Ok, Who the hell will we need to give up to get this ONE big player. Seriously, this team is a mess and nothing can be done to fix it right now. Peghead was being a fan when he said he will bring a cup here within three years. Face it, this team will be a hot mess for the next several years.
Um, I'm not at all saying acquiring one big player will solve all of our problems, I just said that's what Darcy wants to do as an alternative to blowing it up I.E getting rid of our core which are the only ones doing anything.
I understand, not trying to get on you. I was just kind of venting my frustration with the front office. What appears to be a lack of urgency Darcy has with this situation. I understand him not coming out and saying that we're setting dynamite, stand back. I would have liked him to say something like, "Nothing is out of the realm of possibilites" or "Everything is on the table at this point." Let us know, as fans, that they are going to do whatever it take to deal with the abundance of problems this organziation has right now. Saying that, we'll try and get that one big player, that'll fix everything. Yeah, ok and I have swamp land in Florida to sell you....

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.
