We can hope. Losing Leggio is going to be huge for them, though. Not a single goalie in our system except for Miller could match his mental maturity. That's going to be a bigger loss than people know.
Very true on the loss of Leggio. The guy was by all accounts a VERY strong leader both on and off the ice for the young guys in Rochester last year but all is not lost for the 'Merks.
With all due respect to Leggio & the veteran presence/leadership he brought to the Amerks last season, the Amerks will undoubtedly have a bigger veteran presence when they hit the ice for 2013-2014. There is a VERY good chance the 2013-2014 Amerks will be captained by Matt Ellis ('C' last season with Roc) with A's for veteran off-season signings Mike Zigomanis('A' last season with AHL Toronto Marlies) and Drew Bagnall ('A' last season with AHL Houston Aeros). The Amerks will miss Leggio's play in net next season more than they will his maturity/leadership.
