Miller is often worth 1 or 2 goals a game. Even at 34 I would have offered 7 years for 50 mil. if the cap would have allowed such a hit. He is a lot more valuable than Vanick. Media reports are that the Sabres made no offer and Miller's agent did not seek one.

The media has no fucking idea if Miller was offered an extension or not, and even if he was, why would he stay? He wants to win and he'll be way past his prime by the time the Sabres start contending again. Besides why would we want an elite goalie backstopping a team that desperately needs to tank next year to get McDavid?

Nothing personal, and I've said it before and I'll say it again, but your avatar is complete bullshit. Of all the avatars you could pick, why did you choose that one?

Not resigned by the trade deadline, you risk losing him for nothing. That risk far exceeds trying to resign him for the rest of the year. He loves Buffalo, but he needs a cup. Something we can't provide him.

I would have been for resigning him, but not for anything more than 3-4 years.
I'm guessing that isn't what he's looking for right now.

Sad reality, anyone who may have wanted to sign Miller back once (if) the Sabres become a contender again, I think he'll be way beyond his prime. The shocker is that Miller won't be back in a Sabres uni ever again.

At this point in time, no, you trade him and rebuild. What's the point of signing him if he wants a cup?

I would have loved him to stay, but it's very sad watching him play the way he does and have such a bad team around him right now.
