I thought I'd start a trade deadline thread.

The Luongo deal caught me by surprise. I'd be pissed as a Canuck fan, now you have neither Schneider or Luongo and didn't get much in return. They couldn't have handled it any worse.

^And the fact that Lu and Thomas are on the same team now after battling each other for the Cup.

Watch today be really slow compared to yesterday's events.

Totally forgot that Thomas plays for the Panthers now. Nice duo.

What are the "big" names: Kesler, Callahan, Vanek, Moulsen?

Vanek to Montreal for a prospect and a 2nd...Snow has to be the worst general manager in the league. I don't know how this guy still has a job.
He basically gave away Moulson + 1st round draft pick for Collberg, a noname prospect. If I'd be a player like Tavares I'd look for a way out of that place.

Maybe if Darcy would still be here ;) ...I'm not impressed with Murry's trades. Darcy looks like genius for the Vanek trade after this deadline.

Yeah, IDK. Those deals were shit. Especially the McNabb trade. Two mediocre prospects for two 2nds and two of our prospects?

Lots of people are extremely high on Fasching. Deslauriers I'm not sure about, because he was a defensman, but switched to forward sort of like Brent Burns.

Fasching is a big bodied kid that will be fine. 3rd on team scoring as a freshman in the NCAA, which is not an easy thing to do.

Not saying he's shit, but you have your high end prospects (guys taken in the 1st/2nd round, did well in the CHL) then you have the middle of the pack guys.

I would've traded McNabb, the other guy, and two 2nds for like, Bo Horvat...

Just got to wait and see on the kid.

If I remember correctly I liked his game during the WJC. He was also one of the younger guys on the team too. He stood out to me as did another kid who can get drafted next year in Jack Eichel, but I'd rather have McDavid next year.

Especially at #1 ranked U of Minnesota.
