That's an amazing film, but so fucking sad. The soundtrack is rad, though - I listen to it all the time.

i became a wes anderson fan by mistake. my ex had the royal tenenbaums, and i grabbed it. she herself had never seen it. so i watched it, and liked it. we watched it together a few days later, she hated it, but i saw the brilliance of his work. then i saw the life aquatic, and that was all she wrote. the darjeeling limited was not his best work, but i enjoyed it.

possibly my favourite lines by him are in rushmore.

"max, you seem to have it all figured out."
"well, i guess you gotta find something you love and keep doing it, for me, thats going to rushmore!"

later in the film, herman came out with:

"max. shes my rushmore"

thats where everytime i die got the name to one of their songs, by the way.

ive always loved that exchange.

It's one of my favorite films of all time. Loooove the cinematography and stylization.

It's pretty funny that Lux Aeterna is used in, like, every movie trailer ever, but it wasn't shown at all in promotion for the film.

Haven't seen any lately that were any good. Saw "Yes Man", meh...good cast and all, not a great movie

I just saw Sherlock Holmes.

Good comic book type, drive-in movie.

Adam was a great movie, won the Alfred P. SLoane award at Sundance 09.
According to Greta was really good, but I doubt anyone here will watch it because it stars Hilary Duff.
The Invention of Lying was absolutely hilarious.
