My desk at work...

Sid the Sloth in the bottom left wearing a Vanek Goat jersey and the little Buffalo over on the right hand side my Webkin named "Aud" :D The puck holder is full of chunks of brick and brick dust I collected from the Aud demolition.

Oh, and that big silver thing is my candy dish ;)

I used to have a candy dish. Filled it with jelly belly beans and they were always stolen. One day I substituted Bernie's beans from Harry Potter fame and hid the good stuff in my drawer. Nothing like a thieving co-worker's face when they think they are tossing a cotton candy jelly bean in their mouth and it turns out to be sardine flavored instead.

Oh I hear ya DF. People used to drop by our desk for this or that and help themselves to whatever. But now, no one is allowed at our station (All correspondence with workforce is to be done by email!) I don't have to worry about my afternoon om noms going missing!

Your method works too, though.

@ Yhoshi, yep, that is my home made Stanley Cup! All engraved too. Took about a week to get all the names on there. Thinking of making another one for my brother since he won't leave me alone about this one. He keeps on asking me to sell it to him, lol.

Well, a bowl (Obviously, lol) a couple of smaller cookie cans and a decent sized garbage can. A drill and some bolts to bolt the whole thing together. I used aluminum foil tape for the silver look. You could use tin foil as well but you'd also need to use glue to hold the foil on, which can be messy. As for the design on the bowl, I drew it on first then went over it with a hot glue gun then foiled over it. The rings on the garbage can part are actually wound up hockey tape as what would be used if you were putting a grip on a hockey stick and like the bowl, foil taped over. Like the real cup, I made it so that when one band gets fileld up, I remove the top one, move the bottom 4 up and add a new one to the base.

Another key in terms of supplies will be patients, lol. Lots of them! Oh, and band-aids as well. Lots of blood; sweat and beers went into the making of this beast. ;)

I think I will use my stanley cup as a floor-lamp  (but sounds flameable...... hmm  :D )
I will buy an expensive silver foil (for handycraft work). alu foil can drive u nuts. it is not very tearproof.

My new ride, 2008 Impala. More to be added to it, but from the lot to my house this is what it looks like. My garage is a mess, sorry, also the car is a mess because my town puts more salt down than McDonalds french fries
