I'm going to see that very soon, but still jealous. Three hours of 3D oh my word. I saw A Christmas Carol in 3D, and, uh... that's probably the first time in my life that I was ever genuinely wowed by technology. I could catch somebody sleep in 3D. It is SO much better than the 3D fail of a decade or more ago.

I get the feeling that in the next few years everything is going to explode technologically like it did at the end of the '90s.

i wouldnt get too hyped for the 3d in avatar. at times its cool (falling leaves and such) but other times it get to be distracting (swinging branch in the middle of something). through most of it, the 3d was lost since you get so into the story.

that being said, the movie is amazing and it makes me dislike James Cameron even more.
