2004: Mountains in Arizona for two weeks, but that wasn't really a vacation. A week at Allegany State Park in a cabin with my family. It rained the whole time, which means that it was much more beautiful than usual. Also my then five-year-old brother spent all day every day that we weren't out hiking somewhere outside by himself, playing in the rain. He never let me join.

2005: Northern Maine for five weeks, staying at the house of some family friends... On a dirt road, huge yard, tons of property, three dogs, no neighbors for several miles, lots and lots of walks and peace and beauty oh my goodness the beauty. And going into small towns for used book sales and yard sales... Mmmm. Can never do that again because said family friends are now deceased...

2006: Mexico for two and a half weeks living with a family and the dancing and weeeeeeee. I really want to go back and still keep in contact with a couple people I met there. Facebook is useful; I don't care how inane it is. Four nights/three days in NYC with my father in April for my birthday. A family vacation at some point because that is what tax returns are for but I don't remember it. So.

2007: Southern Maine to swim in the ocean for two weeks. LOVE. Stayed in a cabin. Missouri and Oklahoma for three weeks, one week in the first and two in the second. Stayed at a resort in Missouri and in an apartment at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The southwestern tip of Oklahoma with the hills is beautiful and very hot. Met lots of people, went to someone's house that is more of a museum than a house because of all that artifacts he's collected in his travels (also his house is huge) and swam in his pool several times, hiked and did general "ooohhh look at the scenery" an awful lot.

2008: Lovely rented house just outside Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, for two weeks. Lots of Amish people. Lots and lots of Amish people. Pretty countryside, but I wouldn't go back because not only is there not much to do there as far as tourism goes, but the entire town of Lancaster is always being captured by surveillance cameras as of last year. NO THANK YOU. Also, Philadelphia. I did the same things on my senior trip.

2009: Worked all summer, including about fifty-five hours a week in June and July, via 4:00-7:00 and then 10:00-7:00 shifts on the same day/night. hurf durf. Did spend three consecutive days at Darien Lake, though.

2010: Forthcoming are three weeks in Russia, a week in South Dakota? I believe (Native American reservation), several days perusing Washington DC including all the important museums, and likely a family vacation to... somewhere, if I can afford the time off work. Have to see how much has been made at that point.

2011: Probably studying abroad in Ireland first semester senior year. Tentatively.

I feel like I haven't been anywhere.

Just had spring sport signups, and we had about 20 people sign up for golf. Holy balls. If the fact that we had more people sign up then the girls basketball program doesn't get our team back I'm gonna riot.

Roberto Luongo looks strange without his trademark 5'o'clock shadow.

You and me both, dude. Everyone saw how sad and babyfaced I look when I completely shave my face.

I can't believe after two and a half years, it's finally done.

No more looking over my shoulder in fear, or the black cloud of uncertainty and doubt, being manipulated, controlled, publicly humiliated and debased by the person who vowed to love me........

As long as it's ME who's in control!! ;)

It has been a long time that I've kept my silence out of fear....NO MORE! I am not the one who should be ashamed of my behavior. I probably should be a candidate for sainthood for enduring what I did for as long as I did.

My dog's first day not being crated, as I want to get the damn crate out of my living room. Thankfully he was a good boy. Devoured a good sized rawhide during the day, and is still working on a gravy dressed bone, both of which I purchased earlier to help him in his transition.

I had tried putting the crate in another room; but it stressed him out.

How come everything that worked for the preceding 15 years in the house I just bought and moved into has taken a shit since about 15 minutes after I turned my key in the lock? :?
