So does posting in here make me a potential target? It's a shame I didn't get here earlier...

i'd say bring it on cause if anyone tries to hack my system i've created a defense that sends the hacker a virus that shuts their computer down, oh and the real kicker is it wipes their hard drive. clever enough for ya.

The police force is now created. It consists of:

Skyline_BNR34
Sabres2Sabres
motzie12ak
ironyisadeadscene
H0CKEYisL0VEx24
acrossthelines
SchonyGal
Montalo
sabresindc
fan4life61

Now it's time for my first kill clue. Being the first clue, I'll make it easy on you all. But maybe a little painstaking.

but, it will be for naught

Uhhhhhhh. Yeeeaaaah. More analysis is necessary.

Not now really, if you know the gender you put it, but if you don't, at least in the 2009 MLA format, you need to put both of them, it may not flow right, but it is the true grammatically correct way to do so.

I'm in a class were we have a book about MLA format and it has been updated for 2009.

People still do it of course, but it is the wrong way to write now.

I know, but my professors still prefer "his," so that's how I write my papers (I would write them that way anyway :P ). It's just silly. I am pretty sure that in Spanish they will never say "ellos o ellas," for example. It will always be "ellos" (it doesn't have a gender-neutral word for third person plural, like English does; most people know that, so this explanation is probably unnecessary lol).

If anyone has time to play around with this
CODE BREAKER http://www.secretcodebreaker.com/index.html have at it!
I won't be home from work till tonight :( I don't think the first clue is this complex though. It looks more like a currency conversion chart.

Are the Police Officers supposed to be openly working together to break each clue? I don't know that I'm clear on this aspect. I know we are suppose to protect 5 people, but we have to solve the puzzle first.

One of the officers, please do a page source and look it over thoroughly. Also, go to quote (on the clue post) and copy the imageshack link and see what else you can find from the Assassins pages ;)

I don't think Imageshack lets you trace back to an album like Photobucket does.

The link to the photo is this:

http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/5403/killclue1.png

If you try to break it down into any other forms, you get nothing. img692 and 5403 don't refer to anything other than the image location, it seems.

With Photobucket you can get the person's username from the link. However I believe that Imageshack lets you upload without registering.

From the first look at the clue, there seems to be two general patterns that I noticed. First is that all of the numbers in the right columns are increasing. Second is that all of the numbers in the left column increase for each number of the right column. For example, for each value of 5.00 in the second column, the values in the first column increase. Once you hit 5.50 in the second column, they start at a new value again.

Also, we're supposed to protect five people but each officer gets a protect? How does that work, Assassin?

I am sorry, there are TEN protects, one per officer.

And yes, the police officers as well as civilians may work together to solve the clues.

Does anyone else doubt for a second that the assassin is our Admin?

Anyway, I have cracked the code and know for a fact who is being targeted. For a fee, I will reveal the identity off line. Please contact me to arrange payment, and I will tell you what you want to know once I have received the money.

Imageshack lets you upload photos without registering so no tracking an account like that.

He didn't leave any clues in the URL of the link, and that site you posted Schony is for breaking scrambled words, I didn't see anything about numbers on it.

He/she said this clue was easy. Addition is easy. Any of you cops got a calculator? I'm guessing those numbers all add up to 1980.
