As frustrated as I am, I'm really enjoying this game.

Eventually, someone is going to put it all together.

I can't wait to bust this person.

Now, the last clue, says that the victim is close to some sort of prince.

Can anyone tie MechaPhil to some sort of prince?

The feed from Center ice maybe?

A trekkie would call it a feed!

I think this is the post that PSP was correct about. Kind of a hunch, but the assassin has been direct in VERY few instances. Their style is to be airy and confusing, but there are a few direct statements. Why? It makes no sense. Wouldn't they give away too much?

I would guess that the "feed" is in fact a cable or satellite feed (though not necessary Center Ice). I would also guess that the "I am" list that the assassin posted might have been completely true item by item, but misleading. It would be right up this assassin's alley to post things like that knowing we'd all jump to certain conclusions. The assassin never said they're religious, just that they've got a cross above their bed and own a bible and are confirmed. Don't tons of athletes wear cross necklaces without any strong religious conviction? Plus they keep saying how we're "assuming the wrong things" or whatever. Where are we assuming the wrong things?

Who art thou second victim?

The assassin confesses, at the time of the no numbers clue, they had not chosen a specific victim.
But the victim has been chosen. Care to hazard a guess?

To clarify, I threw the no numbers clue as a blanket clue to narrow down the list I could choose. The clue holds. But now I have made my choice. Any their board username for SJ does not have any numbers in it.

You must protect the prince
Though I'm sure the victim will see to that
Shielding him from harm
They are, after all, rather attached

Time changes, uphill
Without tingles, of conscience
Without you, thinking it through
The assassin will target their kill

The prince part/first poem could be referring to the fact that Phil has a son. A father would protect his son from harm, and that bond is rather attaching (second part of this sentence is awkward, but I don't know a better way to phrase it lol).

Phil has a Prince Albert piercing and I'm going to assume the first part of the poem is referring to Melly.

so how does this work with the holiday tomorrow. i mean some people are probably going to be quite busy tomorrow and not have a chance to get to a computer to try to figure out new clues, make accusations, try to figure stuff out etc. is there like a grace day, where thursday is not counted amongst the three day cycle.

I'll let you, the proles decide. If most seem to be in favor of it, that would stretch the deadline until around 5pm on Saturday.

first grouping of numbers reading downward are numbers of Sabres players...Kaleta's Miller's and Lalime's seems to be missing, at first glance

I think that works for most people. With a Holiday Thursday, and a 1:00 p.m. game Friday, we're all going to need some wiggle room.

Interesting - the number in parentheses is only 1 or 2. The third number ranges between 1 and 10. They also look like they are the same numbers as those in the second list, but with multiples.

I wonder if the number in the third column could designate a letter to use from the player's name. That would result in:

A
A
M
A
A
I
M
D
E
E
R
E
F
T
H
H
H
H
H
I
E
L
R
I
L
E
L
M
M
N
N
N
N
Y
O
R
R
R
S
S
S
M
S
T
M
K
T
U
V
Y
Y

That doesn't result in anything coherent for me though, doesn't seem to rearrange to spell anything (maybe someone can run it through one of those fancy anagram solver things)?

What if the 1's and 2's were intended to separate the list into two? Then we'd end up with:

(1):

M
I
M
R
T
H
H
E
L
R
E
Y
M
M
K
Y

(2):

A
A
A
A
D
E
E
E
F
H
H
H
I
I
L
L
M
M
N
N
N
N
O
R
R
R
S
S
S
S
T
T
U
V
Y

This definitely means something. (2) falls in perfect alphabetical order. I think this definitely means the third number indicates the letter in the player's name.

But I'm not sure where to go from here. The assassin said the first set must be rearranged, the second remains in order and is the guide. So far, I haven't used the second set yet. Hmm.
