Irony-I tried to respond in the other thread, but it's closed, so I'll hit ya back here-I have NO idea what was going on in that pic-or whether or not I talk out the side of my mouth....

I am thinking I look a little demonic with the eye thing happening there. Or perhaps a bit over-imbibed? Not really sure.
<EDIT:>I think you're thinking of Iceily, although to be fair, I've never seen a pic of Kris, so my opinion could be slightly skewed.

You cougar hunter, you. ;)

Now, I gotta get to the store for dog food and go to work.

Northern Indiana is actually the armpit of the US. It's weird that it's never brought up in those weird little "My Rust Belt city isn't as crappy as your Rust Belt city!" spats. On the occasion that people from around here commiserate on the internet about how terrible it is, nobody comes in to defend any aspect of it, unlike Detroit or Buffalo or Toledo or Cleveland. Those cities will always have defenders, and for good reason. Cities in northern Indiana? Ummm.

The chick at stick n puck today was pretty cute, and she was good or way better than most of us there.

It's the second time I saw her, but first I saw her not on the ice without gear on and nice. More attractive girls need to play hockey.

Just too bad she is probably too young for me.

I love you guys and I love talking hockey and life and stuff with you guys, but you're spread out all over and it sucks not being able to do it in person. Having a big meet-up of Sabres bloggers yesterday, I had a chance to talk in-depth with 10 other people, and it makes me want to be able to do it with you far-flung couch experts so badly.

Six Flags New Orleans looks pretty decent. There aren't many of them in the US.

As of January 1 this year North Korea lifted restrictions on US citizens visiting the country (never thought that would happen)... I have to tour Pyongyang, too, though I would be a little scared of doing something wrong because the guide would be shipped off to a camp to die if I did... but still, if someday I have money and people born in the US are still allowed in the country, I'm going.

I love "creepy"/weird things/places. When I get my own place in a couple years, the decor might be interesting. :P

Wow, just read up more about Wangan racing that happened in Japan during the 90's.

The MidNight Club was some serious motherfuckers. Driving on the Japanese highway on immensely straight highways at over 300km/h.
Image
The one labeled B is where these races took place. The Shuto Expressway, AKA the Bayshore Route, which is 70km long.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid_Night_Club
There is information on the club, which is mostly, and was a small secretly society basically consisted of about 30 full time drivers.

http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?showtopic=57353
There is an article of the car which raced on the stretch of highway, a 280zx pushing around 600HP.

Oh my goodness... A site I had a blog of sorts on for over seven years is sort of back up. It went down in August without warning, and I lost everything I'd written about my life (in a private thing; I used it instead of a pen and paper because I can type much faster than I can write) since I was twelve. It was sort of (a lot) devastating. I would have saved it all in Word or something, but by the time I had the thought to do so I'd written well over a thousand entries, most of them multiple pages in that format, and there was only my family's shared computer at the time anyway, which though it is XP and therefore contains different usernames... I was still paranoid about someone accessing all of it. So I didn't... and then the entire site went down without warning. They didn't even bother to send e-mails or something. Until just now every time I visited the URL nothing happened, but now the main page is back up, though doing anything is impossible and the latest journals were still stated as being updated last in August... I have hope, though, at least.

Ugh.

Could also go here if you're ever in Egypt:
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/vi ... ht=fantazy

This was/is when it was/is? (not sure of current status) open. :? It looks like it had been abandoned for two or three years already at that point.

Edit:
There are more pictures on page four, and the OP has promised to upload a video (I'm on page eight currently).

I will never complain about Darien Lake again. They seriously need to do some updating of the rides there, though... Had season tickets the summer I was twelve and went there about twice a week. The best was going on the Fridays it was open after school was back, and on random Sundays; my family would be the only non-employees visible for fifteen minutes at a time, no lines for anything. I went there last year, and the rides that were new then just seem so old now, the Twister in particular. That's one of my favorite rides there, but it's like... Give it a paint job and oil it or something, geez.

I had a Nerf war today. My legs were getting shot out constantly, but no one could land a killing blow on me. The best was when I had a tennis ball grenade whipped at my head, but I bent over backwards and had it fly right over me.

We just got rid of our Legos over the summer! I just liked the little people, I'd take them away from the Star Wars stuff and build them a regular house. Or then I would put them in the Slytherin lab from Harry Potter, just random stuff.

I'm so sick of hearing I never make the trip to see anyone in my family or that I never call especially when the one calling me out on it does the exact same thing.

Heh, family... They can be interesting at times. I get grief from my parents for never calling my brother that goes to college in Florida, so I go months without talking to him, but... Every time I see him, when we're home together, it's the same it's always been (when we're both home all we do is hang out with each other, when I'm not working... I'm always with him), and when he was still in high school and I called home it's not like I ever spoke to him. And what am I going to talk to him about? I also don't love a lot of my (extended) family at all... they're just kind of there... I don't see why I should be obligated to love their company purely because of the two people I was born to. That affection and feeling can't be forced, and though I certainly don't offend their sensibilities or whatever when I spend time with them, I don't enjoy it any more than I enjoy reading or something. I'm fond of most of them, but completely indifferent as to whether I ever see them or not.

It's interesting to see one of your professors at the ice rink. Especially when he can't skate!
