Could also go here if you're ever in Egypt:

This was/is when it was/is? (not sure of current status) open. :? It looks like it had been abandoned for two or three years already at that point.

Edit:
There are more pictures on page four, and the OP has promised to upload a video (I'm on page eight currently).

I will never complain about Darien Lake again. They seriously need to do some updating of the rides there, though... Had season tickets the summer I was twelve and went there about twice a week. The best was going on the Fridays it was open after school was back, and on random Sundays; my family would be the only non-employees visible for fifteen minutes at a time, no lines for anything. I went there last year, and the rides that were new then just seem so old now, the Twister in particular. That's one of my favorite rides there, but it's like... Give it a paint job and oil it or something, geez.

i have an amusement park by me that is a literal 10 minute walk (6 flags great america). they do a halloween themed season in the park during the fall called Fright Fest (Darien had this when it was owned by 6 flags). back 10 years ago, no one really knew about and it felt like you had the place to yourself....then people caught on

the condition of the park is actually pretty good. we have a crappy version of the twister called king chaos...it sucks compared to twister. the best ride at darien is ride of steel (formally superman).

How have I not seen the Wife Swap involving the family from Amherst until now? Such entertainment.

Thank goodness I'm not their daughter. That family is basically the exact opposite of everything I am, and the mother and I would kill each other. The feminist family is annoying, too, because they're not allowing their one daughter to be who she really is, either, and they're inconsistent when it comes to condemning other people for a thing while they do the exact same thing in an opposite way, but... I'd naturally fit with their whole no makeup on a daily basis shtick. Have never had an interest in any of that (beyond painting my fingernails when I was 11-12... lol oh geez).

They're also the opposite of everything WNY is, doing their daughter's homework for her and catering to her every desire. Or were the opposite. The show's a couple years old now. How could you ever think that spoiling a kid like that is a good thing? You're creating a repugnant human being... It would be impossible to just start saying no to her, too, now that she is/was in high school. They couldn't make her do a thing. You can't ever make your kids do anything, anyway, but if you start from birth you can at least guide them... I've never seen someone so spoiled before. Horrible parents.

The oldest daughter in the feminist family is prettier than the pageant girl lol. She has a gorgeous face, makeup or not.

Really? Haha! That family would.

I really just feel bad for that girl, though. She should have been raised by that other family. The other woman is a good mother; the only thing is that she won't let her middle daughter completely be who she is in a way that isn't harmful to others, buuuut... You can tell she's genuinely loving and considerate, and not letting her daughter eventually wear makeup isn't exactly the worst thing in the world lol.

This right here is why we should have a severe law against bringing frivolous lawsuits. Go ahead and bring a bogus lawsuit to court if you wish, just expect to spend 1-3 in the pokey when it's determined it's completely baseless and absurd. For your waste of taxpayers time and money, not to mention holding up legitimate cases due to your complete lack of respect for the true tenets of our justice system, and the people who DO respect it, you get to spend a whole bunch of time in jail. You lazy, good-for-nothing, ambulance chasing fuckbags.

So for wasting taxpayers time and money, we'll send them to jail to waste even more of the taxpayers time and money? That makes perfect sense... lol.

There are plenty of frivolous criminal cases, too. Gonna send the DA's that gun for those to prison as well?

Anyway, check out what I found in a Facebook note of someone I knew when I was a kid (not friends with him on there):
Quote:
Well... let's see... I'm not necessarily voting FOR McCain, (there are other qualified candidates too) so much as I am voting AGAINST Obama. (Hey... "Anybody but Bush" was all the rage 4 years ago, and THAT was okay.) Now, on with the list... Yes, he is a Muslim, though he says he isn't and yes, it matters. I wouldn't put a guy who's only been with my company for two years in charge of the whole thing - I'd want someone who's actually QUALIFIED for the job. Income re-distribution - I want to help those in need VOLUNTARILY. Michelle Obama, who's never, until recently been proud of her country. (Not even once??? C'mon.) If my pastor was an America hating racist, I'd find a different church in less than 20 years. "He is a wonderful man. He represents the best of what the black church has to offer." (I love Led Zeppelin - best band EVER!! If I didn't like any of their stuff, I wouldn't keep listening them for 20 plus years - I'd find something else.) I'd like to keep my right to cling to guns and religion. The fairness doctrine. Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, and a number of other questionable associations. "I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students, the foreign students, the chicanos, the MARXIST PROFESSORS and structural feminists and punk rock performance poets." I'd like a president who will wear a flag on his lapel and actually put his hand on his heart during the pledge of aliegance. I kind of like our crazy old constitution the way it is and don't want him changing it because he thinks it's flawed. I'd like to finish what we started in Iraq. I won't vote for a socialist / soon to be communist. Probably other reasons too, but that's more than enough for me right there. (Oh yeah... there's a good chance he's not even a U.S. citizen)

:? :? :?

This guy is in his 40's.

Don't see one word about anything regarding Obama's actual policies... What a surprise. It reminds me of that clip from the Howard Stern show in which they went to Harlem and interviewed people leaving a place of voting... Almost all of them voted for Obama. When asked questions about who had which policy, they never correctly answered lol; the one guy who did voted for McCain. That is why we have an Electoral College.

I ate one of those double down sandwiches today. Totally not worth the price tag, thank goodness I got it for free.

I really want to throw the Ichthyologist on, but it's so beautiful. I don't want to damage it at all.

Looks like I'll be living in an apartment next year, about half a mile off campus. Yesss.

Downside: sharing it with three other girls. I am so tired of living with girls. My friend was like, "The grass is always greener on the other side!" but I come from the other side with four brothers, no sisters, and predominately male cousins... I'll be living at home free of charge for a little bit after graduation to pay off the bulk of loans first as consolation for the fact that parents aren't paying any of my tuition when they promised they would before I went to school, which was a factor in the college I chose (I find it silly when members of generations older than mine have issues with that; your generation's college tuition was ridiculously cheap even taking inflation into account), but I think when I move out for good I'll try to persuade my brother to be my roommate, since by then he'll be graduated and he's attending an inexpensive college. I don't think it will take any persuasion at all.
