so i went to a bar last night. my friend is home from iowa for a week. we do copious amounts of drinking together. anyways, were in a bar, and my buddy says, "hey, dude with the long hair. recognize him? hes lost alot of weight." i look at him, and say "the coked out dude?" and he says, "yep. know who that is right?" i look at the dude, and think. it was brad bell, from the band chiodos. its kinda funny to see a minor celebrity in a home town bar.

man, chiodos BLOWS now. not that they were good a few years ago... but man when they first came out.

First time I ever use Stumbleupon, and the first thing I get linked to is the Wikipedia article on the Dunning-Kruger effect. Glorious.

I can smell my ice skates from 6 feet away, but I'm too lazy to take them out of my room.

why the fuck do they have to lead in every break of a football game with some shitty song on espn/abc? over the fall, it was some shitty country song, with a montage of the band playing tied in with some highlights. now its some shitty champion song by bob or some rapper or whatever. its fucking gayer then a bucket of wieners.

So I've got 2 more weeks of supplements and such for "weight loss" (which isn't even true, because they are simply metabolism boosters, and dont help if you dont put in the work); then I'm considering starting up a free weight training routine, add some muscle mass to my now scrawny 172 pound frame. Was looking in the mirror today, and realized that I was only jacked in high school because of my level of weight lifting, and have lost a significant amount of that muscle mass. Right now I am 23 pounds lighter than I was in HS with a lot less definition and size.

Just trying to decide if I really want to put in that hour or two of weight training in every single day that I used to do, or maybe if it's time to give up on that super-hero athletic body I want, and just be happy being a scrawny pencil necked geek, lol.

Got my 5 year old her first alarm clock for Christmas. It's one from thinkgeek that teaches kids how to tell time and whether it's OK to wake up Mom and Dad.

In 3 days she has mastered the arts of the snooze button and sleeping through the alarm.

Fast learner.

Sounds like something I'd like to check out. What's the name? Tired of explaining that 5 am is not an okay time to wake daddy up.

It glows yellow as a night light, and you can set it to change colors a certain amount of time before the alarm goes off.
So ours turns from yellow to green at 6am and the alarm goes off at 8am so she knows when it's almost time to get up.

It also will speak the time and display it in digital and analog, and play a telling time game.

That looks really cool. My son has the time down and can read his clock but he gets around that by sending his sister in to ask if they can get up.....at 5. Do they have any baby Ambien on that site? My 9 month old is nocturnal. Ha!
