I'm really close to asking my parents to pay half the rent on an apartment downtown when I return to Buffalo next year. I couldn't afford working full-time and therefore could not pay half the rent myself and still save anything at all for a deposit on somewhere to live after school (hopefully I'll still have the same roommate). Or maybe they could pay a quarter and my roommate's parents could also pay a quarter... Small apartments in Allentown/Elmwood Village seem to be $500-700 a month. ...Wish it were possible to not be so broke lol.

It's literally right behind City Hall on Elmwood.

lol - means nothing to me, I've never hung around in the city. I can proudly say that I popped my "Sabres game in Buffalo" cherry, but that's as much time "in Buffalo" as I've spent. I'm interviewing for a job in Depew on Saturday - if all goes well I'll be making the move a few weeks after.

Good luck man! Hopefully all goes well and you can start packing up your stuff to relocate soon. Those apartments look awesome!

I think I just chipped my orbital/cheek bone by picking up the phone to answer it at work. Sweet jesus that hurt. , might be a good idea to pay closer attention as to how much caffeine is consumed during my shift.

Those look beautiful. I look at apartments every week or so on Craigslist. They always make me wish I were graduating now. :P

I know, I feel so awful for him. I looked him up on Wikipedia and I guess he hasn't accepted any offer for endorsements or interviews because he doesn't want any money/publicity from it. Poor guy.

well, the documentary was awesome. the part where he turned to the people behind him and asked "do you think i did anything wrong?" just shows how small the incident was. but the fact that people were trying to organize a lynch mob (not used for effect, they were going to kill the guy. seriously) and the stadium got so toxic around him.... its a damn shame.

but regardless. i had to visit the seat, and of course, take pictures.

It was just fans trying to find a scapegoat for the Cubs's collapse...I fee like anyone in the heat of the moment would have tried to catch the ball.

of course. thats all it was. but this went beyond comprehension. i dont know how versed you are in this subject, but youd have to watch the doc. outside the stadium, fans watched on a TV. they replayed it so much, people found out his name, address, ect. before he left the stadium. security had to escort him to an office, and they had to disguise him. when the disguise failed, he was chased by a mob, into a security guards home near the field. he had 2 friends with him at the game. they wouldnt answer his calls and texts after the game, didnt seem to care if he was ok.

obviously, the scuffle was from a fan trying to attack him, and security intervening.

Yeah, it's pretty disgusting. I can understand people throwing shit at him at the game (but I don't condone it), but it's fucking barbaric to stalk this guy to get his personal information to actually try to harm him and his family. What a joke. I love sports but if it means so much in your pathetic life that you want to end someone's life over the outcome of a game then you really need to reevaluate why you are living on this planet.

So I've decided, that the next time I'm talked down to by a professor who thinks I'm intimidated by them, they're gonna get ripped a new asshole. Today I'm sitting in class, and my professor asked me a question. (for those concerned "What were they key social and economic differences in Germany that lead to the rise of socialist movements in the 1930s?") And my response was, there were several factors...blah blah blah...and i left out like 1/2 of a key point from the readings. My professor told me, it was an ok answer, but since I left things out she was docking my participation grade. I wanted to be like, bitch please, I have been on deans list the past two semesters, and the lowest I've gotten on your exams is a 94%. Stupid asshole professors, most of mine are cool, but this bitch is just asking for me to be a dick some day in class.
