Today was a large article by the APA about the influence of money on votes in the US Congress. One of their main sources was the site maplight.org. The main function of this site is to track the money flow between companies and the politicians and their votes.

Pay to Play is alive and well at all levels of politics.
I have experienced it first hand here in New York State.
You want to attempt to accomplish something, add jobs, develop a project, address a regulation that currently does not exist, etc...etc... You better be prepared to pay the party in charge via campiagn funding, PAC contributions, individual payments via cash and the list goes on.

The United States of America is an illusion of its former self. Hate to say this, but the citizens are nothing more than pawns in a larger game of money and power.
You need money to get power, its that simple.
