Regardless of political ideology, I think we can all agree that this is a stellar idea. :)

Morena Baccarin, from Serenity/Firefly is in V?

I will watch the show just for her. She's a hottie and Serenity/Firefly was a fantastic show.

don't over-think the situation ;)

I know, you did qualify that in your original post, I was trying to make my tone light, but then got a bit swept up.

and yeah...I have known myself to over-think a situation or twelve.

Ok, i'll now commence consumption of this beautiful, frosty, recently poured mug of oatmeal stout before me. I've decided to be more seasonal in my beer consumption, I switch to dark beers at daylight savings. It's like not wearing white after labor day or something...

haha...fucking A, guess what show just came on? The alien spaceship is hovering over the city as we speak...

As far as I know you in a sabres fan sense...you seem like an awesome dude i'd love to have a beer with, but when you come at rational, reasonable people who occupy the left of center with this constant childish stance, it's just...insulting. It's like those people at the town hall meetings who destroy the debate by standing up and screaming at the top of their lungs.

But fuckit, like I said, I dont come into the political room for a reason. I like this place and I dont want to dislike my fellow sabres fans because of how they express their opinions on a very divisive topic. And because clearly, I get heated about things and will shoot off a reply which might be less diplomatic than i'd like, and I'm not looking to go around making enemies.

I'm sure random bits of this post will be quoted and mocked, and seriously...go to town and have fun with that. rant over.

Yankee, I am quite certain there are leftists who are 1,000x smarter than I am, and rightists who are 1,000x smarter than you are. The topic is a real toughie to plow into and still maintain a sense of humor, but I do try - though obviously with very, very limited success.

Anyway, sorry for upsetting you, and I really do appreciate the fact that you can separate between the political and the personal. It shows you're a bigger man than most. Though I'm not a pot smoker now, I'll happily join you for mass quantities of booze and beer anytime.

ETC, you said earlier i'd feel like an idiot for popping off like that. ha, well, you just managed to make that happen. I'm sorry man, I normally know enough to just avoid topics like this, but...fuck me I wandered into this one. I'm sure you're a decent guy, i'm sure there are 100x more things that connect us than separate us, and i'll keep that in mind when you're talkin about this stuff.

It's so dumb, I was sitting there eating dinner, thinking about this thread (and it was killing me that I was doing something in 'real life' and sort of stewing about something on a discussion forum) and I was totally convinced that you'd completely overlook the part of my post, which, instead, you just quoted and focused on. You're certainly showing some of the bigger man syndrome yourself. It's touching in fact. Stop touching me homo.

Ok seriously...my apologies for being an ass at any particular moment/the entirety of the conversation.
