The only way it could have been more insulting is if Tancredo would have accused them of being bitter people who cling to religion, guns and antipathy towards those who are different.

Ya, this is where I run into a problem. I understand it is a serious problem, but the same people who complain about them are usually the same ones employing them(ie causing the problem). If they were refused any assistance at all, and properly prosecuted for breaking our laws, then that might help end the problem. Giving them work(that you either don't want to do, or don't want to LEGALLY pay someone to do) only makes it worse. Think of it in the opposite. We don't fuck around in Mexico, because we know the consequences would be horrible, right. Well, make them think like that too. Put their asses to work on a chain gang. This way we get the work done, and we get it done free(minus the cost of incarceration).

I also think this is the real issue. I am a registered Republican and voted for Bush in 2004. Last election I voted for Obama, with good cause. I actually bought the snake oil he was apparently peddling. I realize now that all his "change," "reaching across the aisle," "no earmarks," and "transparency in all legislation by putting bills online for the public to read first" rhetoric was just that. Hot friggin air. He is no different than any other bribe taking, real american ignoring, corporate lackey that every person in Washington seems to be. But to claim that everyone who voted for the man is, as Squanto put it, a "dreg of society" is plain ignorant.
