me: I have an issue with the hypothetical and misguided assumptions of the OP. Here are some reasons why.
you: you're throwing a tantrum and don't like liberals.

You have no counterpoint, only personal criticism?

Counterpoint? To what? You saying the question is bupkiss? You chime in with a slam and then say I need a counterpoint? Confused. but yet again you address what you want out of my post and nothing important.

Yes.
My point is Iraq has very little to do with terrorism or "the war on terror".

A counterpoint would be trying to convince me otherwise using data and facts.

I see a lot of people commingling 2 wars with very different causes and objectives here including the OP.

And I'm the one that's confused, I've been pretty civil here and you've accused me of throwing a "tantrum" and "slamming" people. Only 1 person in this thread has been personal about things and it's not me.

I never said personal. You come into every thread that even hints at questioning a Rep idea or decision and make noise. You start thread after thread calling out Dem ideas or decisions. I've seen people in the past that had these inflaming attention seeking tendencies booted or at least "talked" to. All I'm saying is that no one wants to hear your constant "boy who cried wolf" routine anymore. You seem more interested in arguing and slamming Dems then having an actual discussion. When I see a thread started that points out a Republican shortcoming I know that you will be posting a reply soon telling them how they are wrong and how you know the real story. Does the GOP have you on the Hockey section or their Public Relations Department? I only want to have adult discussion where opinions can be voiced without someone coming in saying how dumb and misguided everyone is. If you don't like the question or have nothing to add besides telling them the question is stupid then stay out of it.

You don't seem to want to actually be involved in political discussions.
Only people agreeing with a thread may post. Got it.
Furthermore, I cant think of 1 person that has been warned, booted or otherwise "spoken to" over a political thread.

I also think it's hilarious everyone assumes I'm Republican.
Twice today so far!

IMO you've shared a lot of republican views to everyone that shows democratic views on political issues. Therefore it's easy to assume you're a republican. It is just an assumption, everyone on these boards makes them. And in light of this thread keeping on track of the main topic, i'd suggest keeping the train on the tracks.

Well I think the issue is if this is all you wanted to say, why didn't you just say it?

Oh no. Some one said something potentially negative about a republican issue, here comes the thought police. You are not allowed to speculate about these things, only those evil goings on that the Dems caused like that big oil spill or gay marriage. i kid.....kinda.

Thought police? Give me an effin break.

It's a hypothetical question....no one can answer, so why bother.

If you want to get into it, the war in Iraq was started over WMD's, not preventing terrorism.
So that question is like asking "how many licks does it take to get tot he center of a groundhog"?

If the question were about Afghanistan it would only be slightly less silly.

There was a sarcastic way and a level headed way to approach the issue and you chose the sarcastic way.

The question was about if we are preventing terrorism by being in Iraq. The first thing you said was that the question was stupid. That's not agreeing or disagreeing, it's dumping on someone. And as far as being talked to, the admin guys here step in appropriately to tell people who get out of hand, are disrespectful or have a tendency of starting shit all the time to take a breather and be cool. You get a free pass to do what you want though here so yeah for all of us. And as for me wanting to discuss things, I stopped responding to the political thread when I came back here because I didn't want to get roped into your ego rants. I do however read through them all the time and as far as the "discussion" goes, telling people they're misguided, dumb, ignorant and so on doesn't fit.

Perhaps I lack tact but I believe the premise has a fatal flaw and I said so.
I don't consider that "dumping" on someone. I never said anything about anyone, only challenged an idea.

Regardless of whether you think discipline is handed out fairly, I can't think of any time where anyone was warned or otherwise silenced in a political thread.
Please point it out if I missed it.

Whoa perv...maybe you should head over to the pedophile thread ;)

Ok, in all seriousness...I actually like to broil them with a nice baby-tear-marinade, they get perfectly seared and salty on the outside, and the inside is just fall-off-the-bone tender.

Hm...did I actually start that with "In all seriousness?"
