Here's a much better response to that lie:
http://persephonemagazine.com/2011/10/d ... e-student/That student's parents absolutely pay for almost everything. I can use a less expensive public university and calculate it out in a less expensive area (such as WNY), if desired, to show how regardless of the university this student attends, s/he is either outright lying about even being a college student, or is leaving out all sorts of information about who exactly is footing the bill of living expenses. I'm confident enough to assert that it's impossible regardless of locale because I calculate hypotheticals like this out all the time and have since high school. Plus some in the comments did do it with a less expensive public 4-year university and got similar results.

ETA:
That said, it's still possible to do what this kid claims to do on your own if you're comfortable doing that in 6ish-10ish years (depending on university/credit cost) rather than in four. It's just not possible according to what the person who took that photo implies by referring to himself/herself (I think it's a female, though) as a senior.
ETA again:
But then, by the time of graduation one would likely have aged out of the ability to be covered by parents' health insurance, and not going to school full-time = ineligibility to be covered by school insurance (which is quite frankly terrible, anyway; my friend has insurance from our college, which is private, and still has a $700 bill from going to get her jaw popped back when she woke up with lockjaw one day), sooo I don't know anymore. lol. I just know it's not possible to do what this kid claims without help from parents. (also a scholarship IS a handout)
