Not trying to start another flame war...just documenting the devolution of what's going on.
EDIT: I thought it was interesting, on my drive into work this morning, NPR had what I would call their first negative story about the occupy movement...lamenting both the continued lack of focus and political engagement and what is perceived as the co-option of the groups by more violent and unseemly characters.
In fact, most of the news reports I've heard over the last week or so all mention the splintering of the groups and the shift towards crime, violence, drug use and hostility towards regular people (ie not 1%ers)
In San Diego, Occupy protesters turned violent when food vendors stopped giving them free food.
Quote:
“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.
http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/11/ ... ood-urine/In Portland, Occupy protesters are sticking it to the man...the pizza man.
Quote:
Occupy Portland protesters became enraged when Pizza Schmizza ran out of breadsticks to accompany their order. They threatened to assault employees and vandalize the restaurant.

Then there's a 78 year old lady who fell/was pushed down a flight of stairs and hit her head at a conservative fundraiser in D.C....here, I'll even use the pro-occupy link for that one.
http://www.mediaite.com/online/did-occu ... he-stairs/Regardless if she was pushed by a protester or just caught in the melee, this wouldn't have happened if the protesters weren't being so aggressive...they were trying to harass private citizens, not exercise their first amendment rights.
and then, the most shocking development of all......Occupy mushroom Kingdom

Shit just got real...
