Whether you believe the bible or not; there are an incredible number of inconsistencies in it, (figurative interpretation is a different topic altogether) and there's no way it can be relied upon as an actual accurate account of history.

The new testament was written between 50 and 100 CE... How can you trust anything that was told through word of mouth over 100 years?

Hell, some additions to the catholic bible weren't 'injected' til 1400 years later.

As much as I'd like to add to this, it's probably best we don't. For some reason people get butt hurt about religion, even if what is said is factual. I have no problem with anyone being religious. In fact, I think it makes for a better person. We'll leave it at that I guess.

A whole lot of clarity on this subject from many different people. I often wondered how the Fed was able to recognize this day as an official holiday, also, does anyone have an answer for the question I asked on other religions becoming the "majority" in the nation. Here is a refresher:

If another religion becomes the majority in America, do you believe the Federal Govt. would submit another religions holy day as a national holiday?
