I've never heard of this guy because I haven't lived there for so long.....but....
Sen. Antoine Thompson denies delaying a vote in Albany so he could run home to Buffalo for a fundraiser.
How did he deny it? Like this: "I believe I'm special, but no,"

OK, he's a Democrat so he was probably a shoe-in, but damn...

I think it's a safe bet that every NY State Senator has pulled a stunt like this at one time or another. As a group, they might some of the most corrupt politicians in the country. (Although I've heard that CA has some winners in there too.)

NYS government is an abstract failure.

All I know about Antoine Thompson is that he was the ONLY senator from WNY to vote in favor of the gay marriage bill.
