Post subject:  McCain nailed on his 'outrage' over Franken's objection

Last week, McCain was outraged that Sen. Franken objected to Holy Joe's request for a time extension during a debate on the health care bill. Democratic leaders said they instructed their membership to hold everyone to the 10 minute limit to keep the debate moving.

One of his comments:

Quote:
“That’s how the comity in this body has deteriorated,” the Arizona Republican told reporters. “We got to stop – we got to stop this kind of behavior. I’ve never seen anything like it. And I hope that I don’t see it again.”

Apparently John has a short memory.

Rachel Maddow did some digging in the CSPAN archives, and they found the video of McCain objecting to Sen. Mark Dayton asking for a 30 second extension during the Iraq War debate. She had already found this in the the transcripts, but now has the video to back that up.

It's not his fault. He's old. Sometimes he forgets he's not Gen. MacArthur.
