Okay, I know the Coakley-Brown race for Massachusettes' empty Senate seat has all kinds of connotations for politics on a national level, unkown candidate out of left field... referendum on Obama... blah, blah, blah. What I find funny is that The Corner blog on National Review Online has several people speculating that the 3% of the polled voters saying they're voting for Joseph L. Kennedy (no relation) actually think they're voting for Joe Kennedy's zombie. Great stuff. Ham |

And they're calling it for Brown. Stunning. Listening to focus groups and exit interviews, looks like MA has a little bit of Tea Party still in them. Now, let's see how the Democrats play the health care game. Rush it through before seating Brown? Reconciliation? Get the House to swallow the Senate version? Ham |

I'm stunned. One of the most liberal Democrats sat in that seat for 47 years. Democrats screwed up the un-screw-up-able. |

Yep, it's pretty shocking. You should get what you wanted out of this. Health care reform will probably die for at least another 10 years, if it comes back up again at all. |

I just disagree with the "solutions" Democrats came up with. I believe the Senate bill would be an absolute disaster and most Americans agree with me. |

Schultz, a Democrat, will reportedly be running for the Senate in North Dakota to replace the outgoing Byron Dorgan (D). You'd think he'd quit it with the Bush bashing after being safely elected but that's just me...and lets see we've been attacked three times i believe well obama has been present unlike once when bush was in office, and obama says he's sorry to our enemies, and wants to give them a fair trial (Wimp), my opinion cut their heads off (disrespectful in the muslim religion) and hang their evil corpses from the statue of liberty as a warning to anyone else that wants to fuck with the USA. And not to be a bush supporter but lets see clinton had our military weak so weak in fact that a bunch of technological deficient radical towel heads where able to infiltrate and attack. bush was starting to revamp the military. but I'm not saying he is without blame. I'll also say if you look at the facts when George bush was leaving office the economy was starting to rebound and clinton just continued it and reaped the benefits. One other thing to say is it is the big corporations unions, all these bonuses, and bailouts, (which if you haven't noticed the banks are trying to go back to their old ways). yeah those who work have to pay for the failures of others great policy plan. what ever happened to the idea teach a man to fish feed him for a life time, but if you give him a fish you feed him for a night. I mean here's an example; if i gave you a hundred bucks a week for a month and then all of a sudden stopped, what would you do? You'd probably come up to me and ask me why i stopped, you'd be pissed and want your money. Did you do anything for that hundred bucks no, but would you want it, yeah. My first step would be look over the welfare system, enforce harder laws. like a mandatory drug test before the money is given out, mandatory amount of job interviews a week. welfare is meant to help people get back on their feet not provide a living for people. I can't see why i should go be a doctor when i am going to work my ass off in school, and for a living and basically be supporting everyone else. And yall might not realize it but i would put my money that their are going to be a vast decrease in OBGYN's as the overhead is astronomical, it is almost impossible to make money in that field. I also would like to see this country use the ideas of the world and try to establish a better system. say health care, look around see what works, and adopt those factors, the japanese did this to us in the form of technology. |
