I thought that was the point he was going for as well. I do agree it was bad form to use Vegas as the example.

I don't blame the Mayor of Vegas for being a little grumpy about it, but it shouldn't be the end of the world.

Before the day was out, Mr Obama had hurriedly dispatched a letter to Mr Reid. “I hope you know that during my Town Hall today, I wasn’t saying anything negative about Las Vegas,” he wrote.

“I was making the simple point that families use vacation dollars, not college tuition money, to have fun. There is no place better to have fun than Vegas, one of our country’s great destinations.”

He should just fire back that if you're looking for honesty and integrity, Washington probably isn't the best destination.

I can understand the mayors point, but this guy WANTS you to go waste money you don't have, and he's the good guy?? If I was in debt I'd hope any friend of mine would tell me NOT to take the Vegas vacation. The guy does hang around with sleezy women though, maybe that's what makes him the better man. This nonsense is gonna make Bush hating look like mere child's play.
