only something like 31% of Americans approve of the HCR bill currently being slogged through the House yet here we go. Do you think Democrats can get 216 votes from their own party? Will the abortion language (or lack of it) be the death of this bill? Rarely is there a day when watching CSPAN may be entertaining, this should be one. Game on.

Yes XC, I'll be watching the debate and vote today. It directly affects my business, so unfortunately, my attorney, 2 of my partners and some others will be watching today. |

I'm sure we'll all love the IRS auditing us to make sure we individually carry acceptable levels of health insurance. Yes, the IRS. That's what's in this bill. Oh and young, healthy people...get ready to put some skin in the game...we're counting on you to float the pool of sick people. |

Quote: Walking into Capitol this morning on phone, Speaker Pelosi tells Hoyer: 'Steny, we have to get to 217. None of these members wants to be the deciding vote' What proud and noble legislation this is.....Democrats hiding in shame of their vote. Disgusting. |

Stupak....you're an idiot. Executive orders can disappear at the will of any President and be overruled by any law. You sold out and got hot air in return. |

Channeling my best Louis Black impression: Nancy Pelosi smiles so much I don't think she has a central nervous system.

The Debates have started. Its only a matter of time now. I would think the constitutionality of forcing Americans to buy a product is a real challenge. I don't see how the Dem's plan on fighting this. |

I'm also not a fan of the mandate provisions. Pretty sure they won't stand up to legal challenges when those inevitably come. That being said, I'm not paying any attention to any of the proceedings. It's all fluff and hot air. The Dems are generally hiding out and don't want to admit they're voting for this. The Repubs are flat out lying about how the bill is being handled, completely ignoring that the process is exactly the same as they used a ton of times during their period of control. It's all bullshit. NCAA basketball is more interesting. |
