hah, and I just got in from driving home, hearing on NPR about the new situation with Gov Patterson. What a fuckup! Who ARE these absurdly shortsighted dipshits who we're electing to office? Can NO ONE just be a normal dude for a couple years while he's runnin shit?

I wonder how many politicians since, say, 1960 have left office or even gone to jail because of dumb shit they did while in office.

NY Dems don't have an "A" game, they have a "ME" game. If Repubs had control of NY State for as long as Dems have, they'd be crooked as shit too (not that some aren't already).

Yankee, it doesn't matter who gets elected, because people with the highest morals don't get into politics. Politics draws the aspirations of people who want power, control, and access to funds that are easily diverted and misappropriated. Until the good average people of this country unite with a passion for their gov't to do the right thing, it won't ever change. We don't have that passion, lost it a long time ago, and we deserve every last greedy criminal that controls our public policy.
