The way the internet is built, such a thing would be damn near impossible to actually do. The internet isn't some regulated entity that can be shut off at will. It's a jumble of interconnected networks with private agreements between companies to exchange traffic.

That is what my friend And I were discussing. People would find ways to get around these blocks and shut downs. course if this bill actually passes then its like we are living in fucking communist china now. This country is going down the shitter guys... Who is all for moving to Australia?

By the time Obama's first (only) term is over, Al Gore will have figured out how to shut the intertubes down after ~~consulting~~ with Laurie David. Obama will then shut off only the Fox News intertube as his very last act as President.
