Senile idiot Jerry Brown and his thugs in sacramento had a great idea to raise a measly $200-300 million more in tax revenue by taxing internet sales. (Let's ignore that California, like the US itself, doesn't have a tax problem, it has a spending problem. And for perspective, California's budget deficit is in the $11 BILLION range). So they passed this new tax: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-a ... 4787.story ...and the very next day, the main target of the tax, Amazon.com announced it's ending affiliations with 25,000 California based websites. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/amaz ... ornia.html And people wonder why population and businesses are fleeing states like California and NY. Unbelievably predictable, yet somehow they don't see it coming. |
