The latest Bloomberg News poll shows him in a heated race that equates to almost 4 way tie.

I know that there are a LOT of Ron Paul supporters planning on attending the caucuses. I think that, with the failures of the 2008 election, and his issues becoming increasingly more mainstream, there is, for the first time in Ron Paul's life, a solid chance that he will win a few primaries.

Here's the link to the story. They have a link to the PDF file with all the info on the poll they performed so you can review the answers.

What are your thoughts?

Could you get him on the boards so we can talk with him? I'd like to hear why he's picking Romney over Paul or Perry.

I definitely know why he's picking Romney over Perry, but I don't understand how he could pick Romney over Paul.

Also, is he participating in the Caucuses? Because if he isn't, his vote doesn't really matter.

Is a vote for Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich a vote for yet another unfunded war of choice, this time with a nation, Iran, three times as large and populous as Iraq?

Mitt says that if elected he will move carriers into the Persian Gulf and “prepare for war.” Newt is even more hawkish. America should continue “taking out” Iran’s nuclear scientists — i.e., assassinating them — but military action will probably be needed.

I do love pauls approach to our military, and what our position in the world should be. That is probably the only reason i'd ever vote for him, and only if it seemed he had an actual chance to win. On other issues I have the feeling he's rather naive, but maybe that will change with my upcoming purchase of 'liberty defined'. I'm looking forward to hearing more specifics of his ideals.

What issues do you think he's naive about? Just curious, and provoking conversation

I'm not that confident speaking about that, as I said it's just a feeling from what i've heard so far, but mainly massive deregulation, belief in the all knowing power of the free market, etc etc.

You'll see. You'll be persuaded.

Our system of capitalism with very little governmental involvement is what brought us to power.

The transition to central banking, government regulations, loss of many of our freedoms, and socialistic programs have been the cause of our economic and security woes, and he details all the reasons why in that book.

Listen, the US, for the most part, plays fair in the global economy.
Sorry the Eurozone is in the shitter right now, but we have our own problems.

What exactly do you expect the US to do economically to help Europe?

I'd rather the US fix itself, before trying to fix someone elses problems.. But then again, the US is less about US and more about everyone else!

Oh, and as for Paul winning Iowa...Mike Huckabee won it in 2008, so I wouldn't hang my hat on that.

Yeah, I just can't wait for another 4 years of watching the economy fall into the shitter. Obama will just give in, and the Republican would just keep digging.

YAAAAY!!!! </sarcasm>
