Here ya go peeps.

http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/n ... 42019.html

Some of you know I am a managing partner in a renewable energy company. Eninthal, LLC
My firm has brought a 500 million dollar green energy facility to the city of Niagara Falls for possible consideration to be built here. I have pressed the principals enough to get this area sited as #1 on their list to build in. What has the local political establishment done to foster a positive enviroment to help bring this here - - - - - 0!
What has New York states Sarah Osgood done, 0!!!
This combined with 2 other locally related green energy projects I brought to this area have all been rebuffed for those that are in the "in crowd".

Sad to say, but, my firm is leaving NY in a month or 2. I could have supported 21 jobs locally with my firm and brought up to 5000 jobs with construction included. Also the training in the green energy field and a spotlight on the area for its "thinking outside of the box" position it would have taken.
This is why I am looking at property in Colorado. The politicians in this area are nothing but pure bottom feeders, some of the worst I have had to deal with. Don't worry NNYIntensity, the job offer still stands, let me get situated in Colorado.

People in this area, step up and fight man, the time is now, if not ever.

Good luck out west, slesh. It's too bad that such a promising future here had to be cut short by infuriating inactivity :(

This really makes me sad. Your firm is the kind of company I'd want to see peppering the Buffalo-Niagara landscape, going great things with all the green resources WNY has to offer. And now due to pathetic politiking, you're moving on to the Rockies.

I've offered 3 current projects with 3 others in the works to the local area.
North Tonawanda was the most active among those entities I spoke with.
15KW wind turbines replacing telephone poles along river road. The ROI for the project was longterm, with an 8.4 yr payback, and a return of 25 yrs in total. They wanted it and we are still in talks with the Lumber City Development Agency.
My firm is 1 of 11 in North America that offers the Proven Energy turbines at wholesale cost. Still a very real possibility. As for the other project, it was a waste to energy faciltiy.

Also, my firm is involved in the largest wind farm in North America and 4 other wind farms of various sizes.
The future is here, will this area grab ahold of it the way others have? Only time will tell.

We also are involved in an Algea to bio-fuels facility. The future is now peeps.

Sounds like you've got a sweet job. I wouldn't mind getting out of water/wastewater, designing sewers and do something a bit more environmentally productive.

Actually Criminally, the Full Circle Energy project is right up your ally. It uses Solid Waste due to its high BTU level with its process. It isn't an incerator, its molecular disassociation and the higher the BTU of the material the better. They utilize the Municipal Solid Waste products and everything else. There is no harmful emissions and has been certified 100% green.

My job isn't easy my friend, I spend most of my days on the phone with the politicians and money men. That is not fun I can assure you, I write Pro Forma's, consilidate information on documentation for projects, tweak business plans, executive summaries, etc...etc....

NY is screwing itself on so many levels it's downright sad...
Quote:
More than 1.5 million state residents left for other parts of the United States from 2000 to 2008, according to the report from the Empire Center for New York State Policy. It was the biggest out-of-state migration in the country.

The vast majority of the migrants, 1.1 million, were former residents of New York City -- meaning one out of seven city taxpayers moved out.

Keep electing Democrats NY...pretty soon, no one will live there that pays taxes at all.

Quote:
According to the new poll, 10 percent of New Yorkers want to relocate as soon as possible, and 11 percent said they leave the state if things don’t get better. Those numbers are the highest ever.

I'm not worried. Things take time. Relevant to the post though; it disgusts me to see the lack of concern and outright refusal to make the investment for the future now, simply because it WILL affect political gain.
