A small clip of President Obama's longtime spiritual adviser and friend, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, speaking recently at the 60th anniversary dinner of the Marxist Monthly Review Magazine. He gives an impassioned, inspiring speech in defense of Marxism, Socialism and the Communist dictatorships of Latin America while lashing out with disgust against America's capitalist, racist society. |

Dredging this back up now? Really? I've listen to a particular family member drop the n-word for as long as I can remember. Spews all kinds of racial epithets, nasty shit. None of that aligns with my beliefs. Never has, never will. Does being a family member of a racist make me a racist? Of course not. Obama has said repeatedly that he doesn't agree with a lot of what Rev. White has to say about a lot of things. Does the fact that Obama was a friend and worshiped in the man's church mean that he automatically believes everything Rev. White says. OF COURSE NOT. |

I'm glad to hear you're not a racist, Squanto! Now, I never said that President Obama agrees with these comments from Reverend Wright... only showing what he said and letting people decide for themselves what to make of it. |

Your implication is that since Obama is a longtime associate of Rev. White, and Rev. White has a particular set of views, that Obama must somehow share some of those views. It's a false premise. |

Methinks thou doth protest to much. If others feel there is a stronger ideological connection between the Reverend and President Obama than you do, well... I'm only reporting the news. No need to kill the messenger! |

It just happened - this is brand new material from the Reverend. Give it a listen...you may find yourself agreeing with many of his points. |

You have the same ferretian tendancies of posting things either deliberately meant to incite emotion in the opposing viewpoint, willfully ignorant of any shred of common sense or objectivity, and then feigning innocence, or getting angry when someone snaps back. In short, someone got an A in "Dishing It Out 202," and forgot to take the prerequisite "Taking it 101." It teeters between amusing and remarkably tired. Which is weird, because most people that give an effort to be "edgy" are pretty entertaining.

CV, I find it shocking - shocking, I tell you! - that you would take offense to my post. I think I'll do a 4th grade psychological analysis of you and then report back with my diagnosis a little later on. |

You sound like a Thursday Leno monologue. At least be interesting. On topic, I don't get what the big deal is. No republican liked 100% of the people that hung around Bush either. |

Well, generally, the argument would be Bush (or any other mainstream politician) didn't surround himself with so many radicals. Barry has gotten away with what most politicians can't. *cough*white guilt*cough* |

And you can tell that they were right at the forefront of his decision making team from the place of importance they had in his 2nd term, err, wait... |

Well I'm not going to defend who Bush surrounded himself with, but I doubt the term "radical" would apply. Religious zealots, war mongers, chicken hawks...whatever you want to say, they weren't "radical". Barry seems to identify with folks that generally despise America (a la Wright and Ayers). /Christ, why are we still discussing this? |

Do you think there are still people who make money as wet-nurses (you know, professional breast-feeders)? Just wondering. |

If not, I'm sure they could pump out their breastmilk and sell it at a profit. There's gold in them there breasts! |

Apparently in China it is still a profession women can go into. Used to be very common in the 18th century. We were talking about it in class today and a student asked if you could still be a wet-nurse. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2006 ... 630610.htm |
