i know i'm not the only rochesterian here...anyone else going to this? i just bought my tickets. i went last year and it was a lot of fun. the list is definitely pretty good, and i'm excited to see kassian and foligno skate up close for the first time-- even if it is just a charity game.
I'm hoping that this thread was not responded to because its the off-season and not many regulars visit this board. I'm a 28 year old hockey fanatic from Rochester who personally knows at least 5 people who played in this event and every single one of them were quoted in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle ( our local / only newspaper ) saying that they knew Charron either from playing with him, or from growing up in Rochester and watching him play for the 'Merks as kids......( that being Brian Gionta, Captain of the Montreal Canadiens and Ryan Callahan, Assistant Captain of the New York Rangers) and came to the event to support both Charron and his family. The turnout at this event from both NHL Names / Hockey Names as well as fans and donors says perfectly what Craig Charron meant to the city of Rochester both as an athlete and as a human being and what lengths the hockey community will go to support one of their own, It was a great event for a great cause....
