Well after watching the finland Canda game I am disgusted with how invisble Joel Armia is and the same with Pysyk. They are looking like two real great 1st round picks

Thank you Pat. They both looked like two uninterested individuals in tonight's game. Jiri Novotny and Denis Persson 2.0.
Darcy Regier is one clueless stupid bastard.
I would give it more than 1 game before you come up with that conclusion but I can see your point that if Darcy and the scouting staff had watched these players for awhile they might see their habits. It's still way too early to write either one off though. Most players take years to develop.
The guy that stood out to me yesterday was Jonathan Huberdeau as he looks like a good one.
The guy that I liked from last years team Canada was Casey Cizikas as he gave maximum effort almost every shift.
I wouldn't mind seeing him in a sabres uniform.
I wouldn't be critical of players I had never seen before; or followed updates on. That would be unfair.
The book on Joel Armia is he often plays with little intensity. Yes it's one game; but I was hoping to see him prove otherwise. Other than Mikael Granlund, the Finns showed almost no heart.
Players do take time to physically develop. However; if they're not committed to excel, then they never will. Denis Persson wouldn't develop if you waited patiently for 20 years.
My real beef is with Darcy Regier for not understanding that today's game requires intense, committed players if you want to win consistently. Of course Darcy has proven time and time again he doesn't get it when it comes to heart.
