With 3 points tonight, Adam moves back into third in scoring with 76 points. This leaves him 2 back from second and 7 back from the top!

 how often does success at this level translate to the NHL though?

No friggin clue, but let's enjoy the run he's on now before the crushing weight of NHL-level expectation takes it's toll! :D

That Sir, is the million dollar question! So many great juniors don't have it at the NHL level, they either lack finish, skating, toughness, or the dedication needed at the next level. They may have peaked, they may have ony scratched the surface.......... For every Sidney Crosby there's a couple Alexander Daigle's.......

Adam nets 2+1, Legault gets 1+2, and Lagace puts up 0+2 as Cape Breton beats Halifax 4-1.

Adam needs 7 goals in 8 games to reach 50.

While I agree that success at the junior level, ESPECIALLY the Q, does not always translate to the NHL, Adam doesn't seem to fit the mold of the type of players who flop. He's a big body, plays a power forward-esque game and doesn't shy away from physical play. Most of the guys who can't make it in the NHL are French-Canadian pussies who refuse to plays the mans game required to be a good NHL'er. When they can't float around untouched they can't play. I don't see this being the case with Adam's style of play.

Even if his scoring doesn't translate to a top 6 forward, he'll make the team as a 3rd liner, at least. At worst, I think he'll bring energy, grit, toughness, and 10+ goals a year.

I think with Adam we are getting Goose with more skill.

Not only was Luke Adam named the QMJHL player of the week, but he was also named the CHL player of the week.

Weekend report on Luke Adam:
Friday night, Adam was held pointless in a 3-1 over Acadie-Bathurst.
Last night, Adam had a hat trick in a 6-1 rolling of Acadie-Bathurst.

Luke Adam now only needs four goals to hit 50 on the season.

Wondering if Lagace and Adam are linemates? We have 3 players on Cape Brenton and I'm wondering where the other 2 rank in our system? Plus no one is talking about Nick Crawford who is one of the top scoring defenseman in the OHL. He is flying under the radar just hope he isn't included in a deal if Darcy makes some moves.

Adam and Jacob Lagace are, in fact, linemates. Maxime Legault, our other prospect playing for Cape Breton, is a second or third line winger.

I think Crawford is discounted because he's playing on a powerhouse Barrie squad this year. My question is - is he part of the powerhouse aspect, or is he riding it?

I can't see Adam and Ennis both missing our roster opening night next season. Maybe even both make it.

Vanek - Adam - Ennis and say we resign Torres. (Hecht and Kennedy being the obvious other options who could play there.) Sure that's a young left side, but a potentially pretty nice left side.

I think Adam will play a year in the AHL next year, and hopefully he is like Ennis.

I think Adam and Kennedy on a line would be pretty amazing to see one day too.

No way Adam makes this team out of camp. I want to see what this kid can do outside of the Q. He was ppg in the WJC and looked good but a full year in the A should give us a better sense as to what this kid will turn out to be.
