Not only has Maxime Legault been traded to Cape Breton and now plays with Luke Adam, but so has Jacob Lagace! That's three Sabres prospects playing together on the same club! Read about it at SabresProspects.com EDIT: Turns out, not only is Adam ranked fifth in Q scoring, but Lagace is first in goals! |

Weren't people complaining about the video scouting program? It has paid off so far, and it looks like it may continue. They can see a lot more players than they ever could before. |

I need to dig up info on their positions, cuz that could be Cape Breton's new top line! |

Adam and Legault are both over 6 foot, and Lagace is 5'11" I think Legault could probably play LW and do just fine, and it would be a pretty good Top line also. Together they would have 123 points in 88 games. |

Yeah, I know everyone was quick to jump all over that change, but really, it's still going to be years before any kind of reliable opinion can be formed as to how it's working. That being said, signs look good thus far. Hockey has a rich and storied history, which leads to a lot of entrenchment. New ideas are not often looked upon positively in this game. Regier, Quinn (hate to give the guy any props) do seem to try and be on the cutting edge. Let's see how the next few drafts go. Ham |

The joy of video scouting is you video tape EVERY game, and then watch it later. Instead of sending out a few guys to watch a few games, you get them all. |

I think a big difference and I dont mean to sound ignorant but if you've noticed over the last 2 or 3 years we've only drafted north americans. |

Yes, I was pleased that we went after North American lads; many with good size. The team is also comprised of less non North Americans than in the past couple seasons. I don't think the teams position in the standings this season is a coincidence, either. This is not meant to paint all Non North Americans with a broad brush. |

Nice, that makes things easier to follow their progress. |

Still think about it, you have to pay for all of the guys scouting, with the videos you pay for a tape and record EVERY game. They are right, you can watch more games this way, and you can scout more players. |

But don't get the wrong idea. During Myers' draft year Kim Gellert who is a part time scout for us was watching every game in Kelowna. So while they(Darcy and Co.) watch him on tape we still had eyes on him watching his every move. They still do go check out the ones they like in person. |

Oh of course, because a video can only show so much. You see him on video and then you send someone out there or a scout sees him in person and you start videoing him rigorously. |
