Portland is playing the Adirondack Phantoms in Glens Falls. I'll be at that game. It'll be my first shot at seeing the Sabres' prospects play.

Who should I keep an eye on?

Maxime Legault just got signed to an AHL deal from a PTO and promptly scored 2 goals to celebrate.

Schiestel has been good lately too.

All in all, things aren't going so well for the Pirates right now. Both leading scorers are up with the big club and they've been struggling to win.

How about Gragnani? Does he have a future with the Sabres?

Grags was playing forward.

The boys in Portland did a nice job to battle back in the 3rd. They came out and played pretty inspired.

Once again, the Adirondack Fans went home unhappy.

We're far from the glory days of the Adirondack Red Wings Calder Cup teams.

Yep. I've been talking with beat guys from Barrie and Saginaw on Twitter and both have remarked about the possibility of Kassian and maybe Ellis too going to either city. Windsor is gonna get a king's ransom for those two.

how does that work in the AHL? AHL teams can trade prospects? but aren't they still property of the Sabres? and what would AHL teams get as compensation?
