I've recently been listening to Iron Maiden. I'm absolutely in love with Fear of the Dark, and 2 minutes to midnight..

I grew up with two older stepbrothers. One was a huge Maiden fan, the other was a huge Rush fan. I listened to all that shit growing up; Maiden, Blizzard of Ozz Ozzy, shit like that.

I LOVE Maiden. Even did a project on them in high school. My music teacher actually listened to them a bit after that, and she was a Beatles addict. I thought that was cool.

EDIT: Skip the Blaze Bayley years, The X Factor and Virtual XI. Those records are almost unlistenable. Fire up The Number of the Beast, Powerslave, and Piece of Mind. Those are great albums.

Maiden is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE influence on Claudio, or so I hear.

I know I'm a bit outspoken on this, but as much as I love Bruce Dickinson (he is THE prototypical power metal vocalist), I dug Paul Di'Anno's stuff, too.

I do not care for most of their work, but their older material is SO GOOD that I will always love them. The Trooper is my favorite song, but Power Slaves is fucking EPIC!

Tell me why I had to be a power slave? ba nanananananananana

The trooper sets me up for the most epic air guitar solo in human history.

Paul Di'Anno's vocals were amazing for the punk-metal style their self titled had. His voice has changed soooo much due to his drug usage. If you can find it, check out the version of Wrathchild on Numbers from the Beast that he did vocals for. You can't even recognize it.
