Easy killer, Quinn may blow, but these aren't really "purse strings". Golly has stated his business attitude. Anyhow, the only bad move 'may' be Kennedy release and free agent signings(beyond your means). D.R. made a good signing in Morrison(it's like he had 1 friend left).
Im gonna have to disagree... Quinn IS part owner... Quinn IS the hockey voice for Golly... Quinn should see what revenue COULD be made by making it a bit deeper in the play-offs. As I understand the numbers (ball-parked)... correct me if I am wrong... The Sabres offered TK ~$800.... TK wanted ~$850 (I think down from an initial $1.2 mill)... Arbitration says ~$1 mill... Sabres say.... we'll give you ~$300k to go away.... AND we are $7 mill under the cap?WTF?! Am I wrong on that?
The Morrison signing has zero to do with this... Blue line vs. F the way I see it... Yes you helped the Blue line out, i like it! But I think you took a hit with your Fs and I think you took a hit in your locker room (don't take us to arbitration, Quinn will get his panties in a bunch and buy your ass out)... Question: Stafford or TK, who would you rather have? TK plays just as big as Stafford is... And Stafford plays like a girl... I know we are a bit small up front and Staff brings size, that he doesn't use... It just seems that you weakened the team for a couple hundred grand and probably sent a piss poor message to your locker room... Could they still do something, sure... could they pull a trade off, sure.... BUT thats not what was indicated in any way... What was indicated is the Quinn has castrated Darcy.... And we will weaken the team for profit... As opposed to seeing the profit in making a hard play-off push....
I like Darcy, I like Ruff a LOT! I think the two of them together are outstanding... AND I think Quinn has about neutered them...
