Ironically, there are posters on this board who flat-out SHIT on the team when things aren't going well. I don't even do that! Ever read me saying that the team or anybody on it sucks---or anything like that?

I have been in GDT's where most on this baord are shitting all over the team---but not me. Think about that the next time you wanna rip me or call me a fucking troll.

Many here are one extreme or the other. I try to be reasonable and on an even keel. That's too much for some I guess.

But when someone disagrees with your opinion on a team and has different outlooks, you tend to get butt hurt and throw out all this BS about it and not have a reasonable discussion.

It's not the first time it's happened anyway.

I'm optimistic about our team, but I don't go around saying everyone who is pessimistic about it is unreasonable for it like you said we were.

I guess I just find it ironic that so many here scream bloody murder when Miller is out and a backup is in, no matter the season! Yet, when another team has a backup in, well, then it makes no difference in that team's ability to stop goals or PP scoring. How many times have you seen losses in the past disclaimed because the Sabres "backup" was in net? Can a normal person even count that high? Very curious indeed.

You just can't have it both ways if you intend on having a reasonable discussion about where this team is at and exactly HOW good they REALLY are and WHAT does need to be changed before the season has progressed too far.

The team is certainly playing better right now, but is not at a level where they could beat any of these top teams they just played in a 7-game series, especially with the starter in net.

Wanna improve that situation? Call Darcy and remind him that the backups were in net for MOST of this last 6-game run.

I don't believe it at all, we are 5-1-1 currently. We beat three of the best teams in the NHL right now. As far as I can tell, they can skate with anyone regardless who is in net.

You don't like it, well stop saying it's unreasonable and you're just being a "realist" with this team and let us have our optimism without anyone trying to say we're being unreasonable to feel this way.

You see what I'm saying, if someone is optimistic let them be and don't try and rain on their parade by telling them how you think they should feel about the team.

Anyone could see this team is playing hard and tough right now, and the last four games in a row, we still played the three best teams in the league and got 3 wins out of those 4 games regardless who was in net, With Washington it wouldn't matter who was in net, that team could win with Toskala in net the whole year and still be number 1 in the East.
