Darcy had Drury signed. It was LQ/BTG that wouldn't sign off on the deal.
And thank God for that, anybody who still thinks signing Drury for 7 million a season was a good idea is out of their mind.
Now Brierre on the other hand, getting him there with the deal of the century and then watching him walk out the door over a few bucks, that's a hard pill to swallow for a GM.
It is, but they picked the wrong guy is all. Hindsight is 20/20 and we could have had both if they would have signed them in the season and not had waited. It's too bad, but it's done news from 4 years ago now.
