There was one rebound goal, a shot high off the stick side chest. No goalie holds that puck...it's not possible.

I always see people jump to extremes, whether it's Max, Darcy, Lalime, Hecht, etc... The team just flat out has played poorly in front of Lalime. I don't know what it is but they do. Lalime is not a horrible back-up. There are better out there for sure, but chalking this loss up to Lalime is ognoring the obvious just so some people can vent by going over board on one player.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to be objective and unbiased, whether it's about a player they like or dislike. Miller **might** have stopped one of the Kovalchuk goals by making a huge save, but that's it. Lalime didn't let in any soft goals while the team played the sloppiest game of the young season. It was a well deserved team loss, end of story.

Um...no one said he was the sole reason...no one even hinted at it. This thread is a bout a sub par goalie...period. The team plays like shit in front of him because they rightfully have no confidence in him. He is out of position frequently, doesn't track the puck well and gives up rebound after rebound. All of that frustrates the team (not that that explains why they played SO poorly last night though). Saying Miller would or would not have made a save is impossible to determine. Would he have been in the same position....or the same height....the same luck...the same etc etc etc.

Seems you make a habit of being wrong, and this post was no exception.

You know, I didn't like Roy last night. He took a sloppy penalty that led to the 3rd Atlanta goal and seemed to be trying to force things that weren't there in the offensive zone. 6 games in and he's still yet to get a goal...not good enough.

Also, I'm pissed at Ruff for reverting back to his old ways and fucking with the lines. We had built nice continuity and were really in synch, but he goes and juggles 3 of our 4 lines. Stupid.

He prevented a shot which most likely would have gone in either way, not a terrible penalty.

Ruff juggled the lines in that game because no one was skating in the first. Atlanta had so many more opportunities and ended up scoring on 2 of them. Atlanta was out shooting the Sabres like 12-1 midway through the first and it led to a 2-0 lead. But it was the inability to get the momentum in that game, after every score they score less than a minute later.

But it's 6 games in. We played 5 games completely strong, and we played the latter half of that game strong. But Atlanta has our number, and we just seem to suck like that against them.

Wasn't a terrible effort later on either but Hedberg was also standing on his head. Roy had that great shot which he got such.

The Myers against Max, well Max had a step on Myers on that goal and Myers was not going to catch Max at full speed.

Displaced, some people are going overboard. Lalime didn't let in any soft goals. In fact he allowed goals on perfectly awesome scoring chances. This is a product of what we've already seen this season - Buffalo outshooting the opponent but allowing as many good scoring chances as they generate. So why is there a thread made up to basically blame him over a poor team performance?

ETC, you can fuck off. From another thread where you never read or responded...

ETC, what's with the insults anyway? You jumped on me last week for no good reason, and here you're saying "STFU" and throwing out "ignorant". Oh wait, no..."One of the most ignorant comments written since this board was birthed".

Howie didn't misunderstand my comment. In fact he agreed with me. I find your attitude towards me a little ironic considering the quote you use for your sig.

Don't bother with an apology, because it won't mean much. I'd like to know the real reason behind the attitude. I never had a bad exchange with you on the old boards so I don't get it. You don't like me being here? If that's all you have for me then don't respond to my posts, and I'll do likewise.

---------------------------

And this was over why Quebec couldn't support an NHL franchise. Not about the Sabres or anything, but over another former team's fan base and financial support. Your sig is a god damn joke when you go around like a fucking bar bully talking junk and insulting me over innocuous random shit. I'm tired of being civil about it, so go to hell.

Crosscheck or whoever can ban me or whatever works, but somebody should take a second look at ETC's behavior, because it's pretty M-F ing hypocritical.

1980: Sorry if simply commenting that you've been wrong a lot put your panties in a wad, but what were you smoking/drinking/snorting/shooting up when you typed that hysterical rant? I have no idea where you came up with half the shit you wrote, but apparently you're being tormented from comments past and have merged all your grievances into this bizarre tirade.

Have a beer and chilax. If you can't handle the seemingly innocuous comment I made than you need grow about 5 layers more skin.

You need to tone it down ETC.

You're not the almighty arbiter of right and wrong. SF1980 has an opinion that is different than yours. Guess what? IT HAPPENS. Doesn't make him wrong, doesn't make you right.

Just because we're a little more relaxed over here in our new home doesn't mean people have earned the right to be cocksuckers if someone disagrees with their position. Disagree without being a dick about it.

Squanto, are you serious? He tells me to fuck off in a rambling rant I can't even make out and you call me a cocksucker? I certainly hope you'll rethink that comment. You were way out of line.

Tone it down, pal.

To me, it was more like the Sabres pick up where they left off of in front of Lalime and against Atlanta.

Kovy's two goals were practically unstoppable.

Max abused Myers on his goal.

And they only score 2 goals in front of him.

This is the issue of consistency that should have fans worried about whether all the "New System" talk would mean anything in the long run.

It's all about whether the players will stick to the system game in and game out and period in and period out.

Ferret doesn't drink, so I assure you he's not inhabiting my spirit. :naughty: :obscene-drinkingbeer:

Somehow, I'm not afraid of how the team will respond on Wednesday.

Start a fucking war with me man. See what happens. Your tough guy shtick doesn't mean a god damn thing to me.

Honestly, he was perfectly justified to tell you to fuck off. You've taken more than one potshot at him, and I'm telling you now that this shit is going to stop. NOW.

This place is not going to turn into the old boards, with the added bonus of vulgarity. You disagree with someone? Great. Don't start calling them ignorant, stupid, etc.

Squanto, drop dead. Seriously, I've done absolutely nothing wrong, and you're jumping on my shit for no goddamn reason. You got a personal problem with me? Fine, then contact me offline and we can talk. Meanwhile, until you publicly apologize to me for what you've said on these forums I'm done with you.

Capece?

I'm not apologizing for shit, publicly or privately.

You disagreed with something that SF1980 said. Great. I've disagreed with stuff he's said too. Then you fire off with:

Seems you make a habit of being wrong, and this post was no exception.

Clearly a trolling post intended to piss him off. And it's not the first time you've done it.

We don't want that kind of shit around here. Period. And it will stop. Period.

Overreact much? THAT innocuous comment gives you the right to call me a dick and a cocksucker? Gives him the right to tell me to fuck off muliple times?

No, you are wrong, and YOU need to stop acting like the tough guy asshole looking for a fight. You know what? YOU cut the shit, YOU start acting civil, and YOU begin to think before you type. Clearly a trolling attempt by YOU to provoke a war. It's not the first time YOU'VE done this, either, and the shit stops now.

/out.

Guys guys.... can't we all just get along? Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one. Just because you don't agree with ones views doesn't mean you can shit all over them. If that were the case, well, this place would be covered in a lot of shit. And it would start to stink after a while. I for one, don't like seeing shit slung all over the boards.

How about just closing this thread and calling it a day?
