I wonder if any other fanbase loves their play-by-play guy more than Buffalo loves R.J.
I may be jaded b/c I've only lived in Buffalo.... but I seriously doubt its possible

Know what I wonder - does any fanbase love their anthem singer like we do? Doug Allen gets a ridiculous ovation when they announce his name before the anthems. Dude's a master showman.

Every game my girlfriend and I go to we cheer our asses off for Doug. I'm always bummed that we're never sitting in the section his final point the camera is at though.
And that reminds me! the butterwood blimp dropped a couple in the 300 level this year already! Pilots getting aggressive!

Buffalo loves its own in a different, fiercer way than any other city, that's for sure. I wouldn't say we necessarily love our traditions or people more (though I am positive that no other city loves their commentator as much as we love RJ), but it's a ridiculously protective love that I prefer over the sharing sort of love that other places have. It adds to the camaraderie. :D
