I always find it fascinating how people can view the same thing and have completely different opinions on what they see. To my point...who would you say is your most pleasant surprise of the season so far and your biggest disappointment?

for me.
surprised - boyes, i wrote him off last year in my mind
- hon. ment. for me vanek. to me he seems to be skating better, quicker

disappoint - ehrhoff, guess i bought into the hype to much.
- dishon. ment for me leino, i can see glimpses but just seems to much of a
- complementary player to me for the $

Agreed on Boyes. He's been much better than I really expected so far.

leino is much more valuable then his stat line. hes not producing like a 4 million dollar a year forward, but he plays great two way hockey, physical along the boards, and can protect the puck wonderfully. the goals will come, the assists will come.

to me, im surprised at pominville. few players annoy me like he does. hes given first line money, and hes a big time floater. this year though, he is playing great hockey, and to me its been a very pleasant surprise.

We've always known that Pominville can produce like he has, though. He had an 80-point season the year after Briere and Drury left. For some reason, that left him for a while, but it seems to have returned.

Biggest surprise to me has been how well Vanek and Pominville have played together this year. I expected Vanek to continue his pace from last year, but never guessed Pominville and him would make this great pair.

Biggest bust to me has been Ennis, I know he's out right now, but after 7 games I expected much bigger things from the guy.

I'm not gonna be hard on Ehrhoff yet, he's playing solid hockey and is silently putting up some numbers, don't expect numbers from Vancouver, but he still has 1 goal and 9 assists, good for 10 points in 20 games.

Leino is the same way for me, I'm not expecting big numbers or hiuge stats right now. They needed to find the right line for him, and so far the Boyes, Leino, Stafford line, or I saw that tonight, is gonna start clicking soon. Stafford is still playing well, not scoring too much right now, and same with Boyes.

The VRP line is looking great still, Vanek and Pominville are killing and Roy will start to kill it again too.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.
