Yep; he is amongst us. He also knows if he pisses people off; he won't be here long. He spends most of his time on LGS website.

He is a decent bloke at heart; he just gets carried away "sometimes.........."

I think Ferret has good insight at times.

Too many people on hockey forums take the safe way around things, staying indifferent on topics, basically trying to befriend everyone for the sake of befriending.

He doesn't. He usually has his own opinions about things.

To be honest, I always liked what ferret had to say at times. I never got involved in the political debates and he was a very knowledgeable man about hockey, most likely the smartest among them.

He was sometimes a bit to harsh, but if you got along with him he was always fine.

I agree that Ferret is a good guy at heart. He also knows what's up when it comes to hockey players. He's wrong about many other things, but when it comes to that, the man knows what is and is not.

I never had a problem with ferret.

Even when he insulted me... why get angry? It's just a ferret.

it wasnt ferrets ideals that upset me, it was the way he desplayed them. some of us strongly believe in things, and present that point. thats ok. ferret took it too far many times. much too far. remember it culminated with the mild manored phil (hes a big softy, love you phil!) exploding.

if ferret came back, and treated everyone with some respect, id have no problem with it. im not so sure thats possible.

What does ferret have to do with Thomas Vanek...?

I thought he was a Connolly supporter.

:D

Speaking of which... he's putting points on the board, but Connolly has disappointed me a little bit this season so far.

I think he'll get better, but I want to see some more RAZZLE DAZZLE.

Uhh?? 2-3-5 and 2nd on the team in pts to MacArthur (who he himself is feeding the puck to). He made one poor play in the Atl game that led to a goal or a big scoring chance (I don't remember). Otherwise he's the usual solid, smart play maker. More razzle dazzle is not what Ruff wants anyway. As long as he's making plays in tight around the net, where his hands really are a benefit, that's what will score goals. It's the little moves to get a shot or pass angle in close that we need to see, not trying to be Max and beat 2-3 players and turnover or trip.

True... and I'm not saying the points aren't there.

But it seems like his game speed hasn't been the same since he took that hit in the playoffs against Ottawa.

I'm not complaining. The production is there. He just doesn't look as dominant out there as he used to.

:D

I was saying that Ferret would post about Vanek being fat and sucking air after his shifts...as well as saying Vanek is a floater.

And what's LGS?

I know...I was trying to steer the subject-line back to Thomas Vanek... :D :D

LGS is another (alternate, privately-run) Sabres' board: "Let's Go Sabres". It's loosely moderated and has a more belligerent/adversarial feel to it.

Well Vanek and Myers scored today, and Tallinder had 2 points. We look good.
